In the Park
I did this for a sketchoholic's competition a couple of weeks ago and have been working on it here and there ever since. I don't know if it will ever be finished :) It's been snowing and sleeting here like crazy and it's starting to look a little like this!

Saturday Snow Day Collaboration!!
Well, today it snowed quite a bit. So Mike Medicinehorse and I sat back with our alcoholic beverages and cintiqs and did a kickass collaboration painting of sorts. I sketched out the drawing(I might post it later but it's kinda messy :) and then we both painted our own versions of it. Med's is on the left, mine on the right. It is really cool to see how two paintings spawned from one drawing turn out. We didn't see each other's paintings until the end and this is how similar they turned out!!! It's a really really fun thing to do and I recommend everyone try it.
We've decided this will become a weekly endeavor, or at least we're going to make the attempt!!

Giant Flying Chameleon
I got a little bored working on my Cash paintings so I decided to paint an entry for the James Robertson competition on Sketchoholics.com. The subject is "flight". I've had this idea floating around in my head ever since Chesley Sullenberger landed his plane in the Hudson - I read a lot that week about controlling bird populations around airports :)

New Friends
This morning on his walk, Cash disappeared for a couple minutes. When I called him, he ran out of the woods with a coyote. They romped around like puppies for a minute and then the coyote saw me and bolted. I'm not sure if they each recognized the other's inherent dogness, or if the coyote just wasn't hungry at the time :)

Cash Sketches
These are a couple drawings of our dog Cash. Josh and I call him minilab because he looks like someone took a shrink-ray to an 80-pound black lab. Many people have asked where they can get their own minilab. We found ours here :)
